Do you reside in Italy for many years? This is how to abtain Italian citizenship

If you are a foreign citizen and you reside continuously in Italy for more than ten years, you can obtain the Italian citizenship.

Requirements

Foreign citizens can ask for Italian citizenship

1. If they reside in Italy for at least 10 years continuosly,
2. And also if they’re in possession of sufficient earnings (the law speaks of Earnings Requirement):

specifically, it's necessary to have an annual personal earning greater than or equal to € 8,500 (for the  applicant without family), or greater than or equal to €11,500 for the applicant with dependant spouse.

At this it's necessary adding a surcharge of €550 for each additional person at the expense.

If these incomes are not reached by the applicant, it's possible to add incomes of the other cohabiting family.

Documents:

1. €16 revenue stamp
2. Birth certificate, translated and legalized (in many Countries the procedure for apostillation is necessary)
3. Penal Certificate of the Country of origin and/or of the other countries in which the applicant has resided previously, this one must also be translated and legalized.

Note:

The translation of documents can be made by the authority of the Country of origin  that issued them,     but also by an official translator. It can also be carried out in Italy by the diplomatic authorities of the Country of origin.

The Apostillature, however, must be carried out in the country of provenance.

 

4. Photocopy of the valid passport and photocopy of the residence permit
5. CU models (CUD) or 730 of the last 3 years
6. Copy of the payment of the contribution of Euro 200.00 executed on C.C. N. 809020 payable to the MINISTERO INTERNO D. L. C. I. CITTADINANZA

7. Copy of identification document.
